Through precision engineering our GPS tracking technology monitors herd movements and abnormal behaviours to alert you when possible danger is near.
Once the alarm is activated, the FarmRanger app will move the device card to the top of the app screen and show a red border. Tapping on the card will allow you to open up the instant Live Tracking Feature via the Maps section of the app. When the timer runs out you can opt to extend the Live Tracking should you need to.
Get a daily report on the status of every collar. View the last recorded GPS position of the device, the signal strength, battery level, and alarm status at any time.
The same unit can be used on any livestock. FarmRanger collars are adjustable for size and sensitivity to accommodate sheep, cattle, horses, goats and more.
FarmRanger collars work on a GPRS network which has the widest spread coverage of all mobile networks. There are no hidden costs or expensive infrastructure setups required. All you need is cellular signal in the field.
The easy to use application can be installed on any Android or iOS device. If you don’t have a smartphone, or an older phone you can also receive alerts and GPS coördinates via sms messages and the alarm missed call feature. However, we strongly recommend the use of the FarmRanger app.
Our geofences functionality allows farmers to draw virtual camps, triggering an alarm when animals cross the border.
There are three types of alarms:
1. When animals enter the area
2. When animals exit the area
3. When animals either enter or exit the area
Geofence breach checks are made periodically at night or during the day. Should animals cross the borders that you set up, you will get an alarm which can be tracked in real-time, just like other alarms.
